So, while my present may not be my future, there are some parts of it that I hope will always go with me. It's kind of like that really bad haircut I had a few years ago...the one that made me sleep in a hat for a couple of nights! It was horrible for a while. But once it started to grow out a little, it actually looked pretty nice. Thanks for the reminder!embhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14978263403984852781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2467092921624269928.post-50361092421054691422011-08-25T00:58:41.786-04:002011-08-25T00:58:41.786-04:00Thank you for your wonderful post. But I suspect each of us feels a little trapped by the other sometimes, since we are totally dependent on each other. It is a great blessing to me to remember for both of us that "my present is not my future."<br /><br />God bless you.ToilNotSpinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04068035092199385199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2467092921624269928.post-489977079764104892011-08-24T08:21:42.639-04:002011-08-24T08:21:42.639-04:00Just had my second child and am in the midst of so...Just had my second child and am in the midst of so many sleepless nights, but the mantra "the present is not my future" really makes me sad. I hate a bad haircut, but I do love the courage and boldness and guts it takes to live through the 'growing out.' it's what I'm doing now, and life might actually not feel so sweet when my prince starts sleeping through the night...RevMcChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17871530645282020842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2467092921624269928.post-57955198542452553262011-08-22T12:06:04.982-04:002011-08-22T12:06:04.982-04:00Thank you so much for this. I plan to breathe that prayer in and out as we negotiate all the changes happening at breakneck speed. Grace & peace to you.c_w_shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15843158172981213839noreply@blogger.com
